Highest numbers of cases lodged are procurement related issues

The Commission’s statistical data for the first six months of 2015 discloses that the highest numbers of cases lodged are procurement related. There was a total of 148 procurement related cases lodged to the Commission during this period. Sixty one procurement related cases were lodged in the first quarter while 87 cases were lodged in the second quarter.
The second highest category of the cases lodged are employment related issues such as providing undue advantage in employment process, misuse of authority in staff promotions and staff dismissal. Likewise, a total of 75 cases were reported in the first six months, i.e. 6 cases in the first quarter and 39 cases in the second quarter.
Moreover, 72 cases were lodged regarding land related issues and island/land leasing issues. Similarly, 123 unclassified cases were lodged during the first six months of 2015.
