The following represents the Commission’s statistical data for the first six months of 2014 and 2015. Investigations have been conducted for 573 cases reported from the atolls during the first 6 months of 2015 while it was 659 cases for the same period in 2014. This indicates a 13% decrease in the number of cases conducted during the period under review. One of the main reasons for this decline is due to the decrease (9%) in the number of cases lodged to the Commission in the first half of this year.
Investigations have been conducted based on field visits to all the atolls of Maldives except, Shaviyani (Sh) Atoll during the first six months of 2015.
