ACC has met with the National Integrity Commission to discuss on the implementation of Anti-Corruption Commission Act and National Integrity Commission Act. The meeting was held on 5th November 2015 at NIC.
National Integrity Commission Act states that corruption issues involved in the cases lodged to the NIC should be forwarded to the ACC and they should be investigated within 30 days. Furthermore, it also states that if ACC investigates misconduct of a staff of NIC, ACC should share the information with NIC. Therefore, both commissions discussed on overcoming the challenges they may face while implementing the above mentioned terms in the National Integrity Commission Act. Moreover, at the meeting ACC also conveyed information regarding the National Integrity Plan initiated by ACC.
