Commission has conducted Anti-Corruption Training for 1699 participants

During the last six months, commission has conducted 73 awareness sessions to educate public officials and school students. A total of 1699 participants attended these sessions. Likewise, during the first quarter, 3 sessions were conducted for institutions in Male’ and 71 staff were trained while in the second quarter 9 sessions were conducted and 17 staff were trained. Moreover, in the first quarter, 32 sessions were conducted for institutions in islands and 363 staff were trained while during the second quarter 14 sessions were conducted and 260 staff were trained respectively. These sessions were conducted to aware and promote integrity among public officials. Furthermore, information on public procurement procedures was provided in the sessions.
Similarly, during the first quarter, 3 sessions were conducted and 107 students were trained in the sessions conducted to aware and promote integrity among the school students. Comparatively, during the second quarter 12 sessions were conducted and 724 students were trained respectively. These sessions included an overview of integrity, corruption level in Maldives, functions of Anti-Corruption Commission and the role of students to prevent and eliminate corruption.
