In accordance with the Section 8.30 of State’s Financial Regulation, the Anti-Corruption Commission has laid down the procedures for the contractors to request for the extension of their contract deadlines. Under these procedures, conditions for the contractors to request for the extension, as well as the guidelines for the ACC to extend the contracts in each condition were clearly stated. The aim of this guideline is to establish transparent procedures to enhance public confidence. This procedure can now be downloaded from the ACC website and the ACC recommends other government institutions to establish such policies and procedures to ensure consistency, integrity and transparency in their work as well.
