Draft of the National Integrity Plan is opened for public comments

Anti-Corruption Commission has initiated a National Integrity Plan (NIP) for the forthcoming 5 years. The main aim of the plan is to strengthen and foster integrity in public institutions. This plan comprises of five main policies which inculcates various strategies, sub-strategies and activities that would lead to achieve the objectives drawn for the plan. A draft action plan has also been formulated to implement the NIP. This draft has been presented and discussed among senior officials from numerous public institutions participating in the planning process. This includes incorporation of opinions and comments collated from 31 stakeholders.

 

Likewise, community participation is integral to success in national integrity. Hence, the ACC welcomes and opens up for public comments to the NIP draft from today. Furthermore, private sector and non-governmental organizations also will be engaged in this planning process. The NIP draft is available for comments in our new website especially launched for the promotion of National Integrity Plan: http://www.nip.gov.mv. All the comments to be forwarded to ACC via e-mail: nip@acc.gov.mv, fax (3317182) or by attending to the Commission. The public comment period opens from 31st December 2015 and closes on 10th January 2016 at 15:00 hours.
