The Chairman and Members of the Anti-Corruption Commission made a courtesy call to the new High Commissioner of the Republic of India to the Maldives H.E. Mr. Akhilesh Mishra, yesterday. In the meeting held at the High Commission of India in Male’, the Commission members welcomed the High Commissioner and congratulated on his appointment.
The Commission members and the High Commissioner discussed ways about strengthening the institutional capacity of ACC towards developing an efficient anti-corruption system in the Maldives. Furthermore, they discussed on extending technical and financial assistance from the Indian Government to implement the ACCs Strategic Action Plan (2015-2019) that determines various areas of development needs such as trainings, consultations, ICT and implementation of National Integrity Plan to reduce corruption and fostering integrity in the society.
