ACC participates in the Dhivehi Civil Service Conference 2016

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) participates in the Dhivehi Civil Service Conference 2016 held from May 11th to 12th. The slogan for this year’s conference is “Achieving Service Excellence” in civil service. A total of 6 research papers are to be presented at this year’s conference under three thematic areas; 1. Reforming for a professional civil service: Striving for performance excellence, 2. De-regulating the civil service: building divergence and dynamism and 3.Ethics and Integrity: promoting professionalism and political responsiveness.
The ACC will present its research paper at the conference under the above third thematic topic. The paper is titled “Understanding bid processing issues in Government Institutions”. The paper is based on a desk review of five cases investigated by the Commission during 2014 and consists of commonly identified bid processing issues, reasons for issues and recommendations to resolve the issues.
The Chief Guest for the conference was former President, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan. Besides the attendance of some State dignitaries, Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and ACC Chairman Mr. Hassan Luthfee, several Public Officials were invited to participate in the two day conference.
