Anti-Corruption Commission concluded a total of 213 cases in the first quarter of 2016. That is 166 cases that were concluded after the evaluation process of preliminary stage and 47 cases that were concluded after investigation process. During the same period in 2015, a total of 216 cases were concluded respectively.
From the cases concluded, 2 cases were sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) in the first quarter of 2016 while 6 cases were sent to the PGO in the year 2015 respectively.
Based on the cases registered at the commission, some cases are dismissed due to insufficient evidence and information. Likewise, a sum of 166 cases that were concluded after the evaluation process of preliminary stage and 45 cases concluded after investigation process were dismissed. Comparatively, in 2015 a total of 186 cases were dismissed respectively.
Furthermore, regarding 41 cases concluded during the first quarter of 2016 recommendations were given concerning the administrative issues of the institutions, while this number stands at 62 in the year 2015.
