The Commission’s statistical data for the first quarter of 2016 discloses that the highest number of cases registered is procurement related. There was a total of 57 procurement related cases registered at the Commission during this period while it was sixty one during last year.
The second highest category of the cases registered are on employment related issues such as providing undue advantage in employment process, misuse of authority in staff promotions and staff dismissal. Likewise, a total of 21 cases were registered in the first quarter of 2016 while it was 36 cases during the first quarter of 2015.
Moreover, 17 cases were registered regarding land related and island/land leasing issues in the first quarter of 2015. In terms of ‘other’ category, 86 unclassified cases were registered during the same period of 2016.
