The statistics of the Commission indicates that a total of 405 cases were concluded in the first six months of 2016. Out of these, 192 cases were concluded during the second quarter. This is an increase of 29.7% when compared with the number of cases concluded during the second quarter of 2015.
Based on the cases concluded, 3 cases were decided to send to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) in the second quarter of 2016 while 6 cases were concluded to send to the PGO in the year 2015 respectively.
From the cases registered at the commission, some cases are dismissed due to insufficient evidence and information. Likewise, 189 cases were dismissed in the second quarter of 2016 while 142 cases were dismissed in the year 2015 respectively.
