A ceremony has been held to mark the end of the 2nd Season of Bithufangi TV series and the 3rd Season of Bithufangi radio series. Bithufangi series is produced by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to create awareness on corruption and to promote integrity. The ceremony was held last night at the National Art Gallery.
During the ceremony certificates were handed out to everyone involved in the project. The ceremony’s chief guest Information Commissioner Mr. Abdul Azeez Jamal Aboobakuru distributed the certificates along with other dignitaries including Auditor General Mr. Hassan Ziyath, Commissioner General of Taxation Mr. Yazeed Mohamed and President of the Human Rights Commission of Maldives Ms. Fathimath Eenas.
ACC’s Chairman Mr. Hassan Luthfee delivered introductory remarks in the ceremony. He noted that 7 media channels broadcasted Bithufangi episodes without a broadcasting fee and reaching a larger audience made the series a huge success. He also said that the artists who joined the project deserves credit for the success. The chief guest also spoke in the ceremony. He praised ACC for its efforts to create awareness on corruption. He also highlighted that information dissemination plays a vital role in combating corruption and ACC is one of the institutions that provides information to the public in a timely manner.
