According to the second quarter’s statistics of 2016, the highest number of cases registered in the Commission are procurement related, similar to the previous quarter. Likewise, there was a total of 65 procurement related cases registered at the Commission during this period. Nevertheless, this is a decrease of 25.3% compared to the cases registered during the second quarter of 2015.
The second highest category of the cases registered are on employment related issues such as providing undue advantage in employment process, misuse of position and authority in staff promotions and staff dismissal. Likewise, a total of 20 cases were registered in the second quarter of 2016 while it was 39 cases during the second quarter of 2015.
Moreover, 41 cases were registered regarding land related and island/land leasing issues in the second quarter of 2016. In terms of ‘other’ category, 63 unclassified cases were registered during the same period of 2016.
