Maldives Participates in SAARC Nations Seminar on Anti-Corruption

 

The Anti-Corruption Commission has participated in the “SAARC Nations Seminar on Anti-Corruption” conducted by the National Accountability Bureau of Pakistan. This session is held from 26th – 27th September 2016 in Islamabad, Pakistan. Our Chairman Mr. Hassan Luthfee and Vice-chairman Mr. Muaviz Rasheed attended this session on behalf of Anti-Corruption Commission. Different agencies that works to curb corruption in SAARC countries participated in this seminar. The main aim of this session is to discuss about causes of corruption offences, and to share and exchange about their profession that can be undertaken in order to prevent corruption. Moreover, the session also reflects contribution made from different countries to create awareness against corruption. This seminar is the first of its kind that had been initiated by SAARC countries.
