The Chairperson of Anti-Corruption Commission, Mr. Hassan Luthfee has stated that 3.4 cases out of an average of 4 cases registered daily at the Commission were concluded, in 2016. He highlighted that an average of 1.4 recommendations were given daily to state authorities. Addressing at a ceremony held at the Commission on 9th March 2017, to disseminate the Annual Report 2016, the chairperson noted that the Commission has done remarkable work during the year, despite some obstacles such as budget cuts and limitation of resources. He further stated that the Commission is currently involved in extra efforts to increase its efficiency and to conclude cases with public interest at a rapid pace.
Answering questions by the press, the chairperson assured that the Commission is working on concluding the corruption case of MMPRC and will be publishing its report during the month of April. He also commended the impeccable efforts by the staff of the Commission for such a successful year.
