Anti-Corruption Commission held a special assembly to celebrate Dhivehi Language Day.
This auspicious gathering was attended by Mr. Mohamed Nasheed, a member of the Dhivehi Language Academy. In his speech he addressed on current activities carried out by the academy and the importance of a language since it is one of the essential features of Maldives to be independent as a nation, unique and united as a society.
President of ACC, Mr. Hassan Luthufee also addressed in this assembly. He spoke regarding the importance of language and the history of the writing system. Furthermore, ACC staff also express their views regarding this special day. The official speech for the Dhivehi language day 2017 delivered by the President of the Dhivehi Language Academy was also proclaimed in this assembly.
Moreover, in this ceremony Commission disseminated certificates for the Staffs who participated in the handwriting competition organized by the Dhivehi Language Academy. This certificates were distributed by the chief guest.
