Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has donated equipment to Fiyavathi Children’s shelter in Hulhumale to mark National Anti-Corruption Day. The equipment’s were handed to Fiyavathi on 21st April 2017 during a children’s evening organized by ACC in Fiyavathi. Chief Executive Officer of Fiyavathi Ms. Fathimath Shiyama accepted the equipment on behalf of the shelter.
The main aim of the event was increasing ACC’s participation in social causes. Commissioners and staff along with Fiyavathi’s staff participated in the children’s evening. Various activities were conducted for the children in Fiyavathi and gifts were handed to each child. A total of 22 ceiling fans and 20 mattresses were donated to Fiyavathi which were funded by the staff of ACC.
