Anti-Corruption Commission Recreation Club held a ceremony on 03 April 2017 to inaugurate its Second Terms Executive Committee.
In this ceremony the newly elected executive committee signed a pledge. In accordance to the Active policy the Executive Committee promised that they would fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Association.
The Second Term Executive Committee members are, President Ahmed Yameen, Vice-President Hassan Manik, Executive Secretary Arif Rasheed, Finance Secretary Fathimath Azleena Ali, Admin Secretary Hawwa Sana, Event Secretary Ahmed Shaan Mohamed, Welfare Secretary Mariyam Shadiya, Innovation Secretary Yumna Waheed and Sports Secretary Ibrahim Ali.
The former president of Anti-Corruption Commission Recreation club Adam Shamil spoke in this ceremony. In his speech his emphasized on purpose of having such a Association in this commission. He said the club’s works to fulfill the needs of the employees to work in a friendly working environment and to strengthen the spirit of the office environment. He further said that even with different opinions and views we all should work for the betterment of everyone as a whole.
Anti-Corruption Commission Recreation club newly elected President Ahmed Yameen also spoke in this ceremony. In his speech, he declared that the new term activities would be conducted in accordance with a yearly activity plan, with pre-planned budget allocated for every activity carried out by the club. Moreover, women empowerment in different activities and parts would be enabled by the recreation club. Furthermore, he added that religious programs and competitions would be organised and held in the commission to increase the awareness among the members throughout the year. In addition to this to improve the conduct of the recreation club new sub committees would be made and, members often club would be given the opportunity to become a member of the subcommittees.
Over the last two years the former executive committee has faced come issues in conducting the club, therefore, the new committee would be revising the current rules and regulation of the recreation club and making the necessary changes to enable smooth running of the club with the approval of the Executive Committee.
Chief Guest of the ceremony, the Vice-President Anti-Corruption Commission, Mr. Muaviz Rasheed also addressed this meeting. In his address to the members he stressed that he would like to see the work of the Executive committee to be up to the expectation of the members as speaking as a fellow member of the club. In addition to this, he said that he believes that the newly elected executive committee would be able to function better than the previous executive committees with the help of new formed sub-committees to carry out the tasks and events more actively and efficiently.
