The Commission’s statistical data for the first quarter of 2017 discloses that the 3 cases forwarded to Prosecutor General’s Office carried a total of 5 different charges.
The highest number of charges were on providing an undue advantage for a third party. A total of 3 such charges were sent for prosecution against 5 individuals which included 3 males and 2 females.
Moreover, 2 charges on recompensing government loss were sent for prosecution against 4 individuals. It was also observed that the total monetary value claimed to be recovered by the state amounted to 2,662,430 (two million, six hundred and sixty-two thousand, four hundred and thirty) Rufiyaa.
