The Commission’s statistical data for the first quarter of 2017 discloses that the highest number of cases registered is procurement related.
There was a total of 98 procurement related cases registered at the Commission during this period while it was only 57 during last year.
The second highest category of the cases registered are on employment related issues such as providing undue advantage in employment process, misuse of authority in staff promotions and staff dismissal. Likewise, a total of 44 cases were registered in the first quarter of 2017 while it was 21 cases during the first quarter of 2016.
Moreover, 79 cases were registered regarding land related and island/land leasing issues in the first quarter of 2017. In terms of ‘other’ category, 97 unclassified cases were registered during the same period of 2017.
