Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has conducted investigations for 131 cases reported from the atolls during the first 3 months of 2017.
During the same period in 2016, investigations were conducted for only 74 cases reported from the atolls. This indicates a 77% increase in the number of cases conducted in 2017 during the period under review.
Investigations have been conducted based on field visits to Faafu (F), Alifu Alifu (AA), Alifu Dhaalu (Adh), Gaafu Alifu (GA), Gaafu Dhaalu (Gdh), and Thaa(Th) atoll of Maldives during the first 3 months of 2017, while only 2 atolls were visited for conducting investigations in the same period in 2016.
