The Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) has presented a paper focusing on the challenges in the criminal justice system and promoting sincerity as a solution to overcome those challenges.
IUM’s paper was presented in the National Anti-Corruption Conference which began on 10th May 2017. The paper detailed about the criminal justice system in Maldives, its various aspects, and discussed solutions to challenges in the system in the context of Islam, highlighting on promoting sincerity and good morals.
In addition, IUM’s paper also suggested fostering sincerity and teaching its importance in child development stages and through education curriculum as two significant factors that could prevent criminal activities in the society, and stressed on the importance of developing educated and eligible individuals who should be entrusted with responsibilities and held accountable for their actions.
