“The biggest challenge to investigating fraud and deception is finding relevant, evidential documents.”
Maldives Police Service stated as such during a presentation at the National Anti-Corruption Conference. The main objective of the presentation was to identify causes of fraud and deception, find ways to prevent such offences, and discuss the challenges to proving such cases in the court.
In the presentation, the Police also recognized public awareness as a key factor in prevention of crimes such as fraud and deception, and urged the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to relevant authorities to make criminal investigations more effective.
