Anti-Corruption Commission’s delegation participates in 2017 Workshop for Maldivian Anti-Corruption Officials in China

 

A delegation from Anti-Corruption Commission is participating in the 2017 Workshop for Maldivian Anti-Corruption Officials held in Beijing, China. The delegation comprises of 17 participants from Anti-Corruption Commission and 3 participants from President’s Office.

Commenced on 17th June 2017, this workshop will be continued for a duration of 21 days. This workshop was initiated and organized by the China Academy of Discipline Inspection and Supervision (CADIS) with the assistance of Chinese Embassy in Maldives.

In the opening Ceremony of the workshop, the Vice President of Anti-Corruption Commission met with H.E Mr.Yang Xiaodu, President of CADIS and discussed the prospects of the workshop and expressed gratitude for the continued assistance provided by the Chinese government for different aspects of development of Maldives and also for assisting in Maldives’ efforts to combat corruption in the country.

The main purpose of this workshop is to gain knowledge and experience on procedures and techniques used in China for combating and preventing acts of corruption. Apart from this, the delegation will learn about the administrative structure of the Chinese government, their culture and heritage.
