Ten charges were sent for prosecution during the second quarter of 2017

Anti-Corruption Commission’s statistical data for the first six months of 2017 discloses that the 6 cases forwarded to Prosecutor General’s Office carried a total of 10 different charges.

The highest number of charges were on providing an undue advantage for a third party. A total of 6 such charges were sent for prosecution against 9 individuals which included 7 male and 2 female employees.

Moreover, 4 charges on recompensing government loss were sent for prosecution against 7 individuals. It was also observed that the total monetary value claimed to be recovered by the state amounted to 2,742,430 (Two million seven hundred and forty-two thousand four hundred and thirty) Rufiyaa.
