As part of its Social Audit Pilot Survey, ACC has conducted a site observation of the Eco-Facility Development project in Fuvahmulah City. The site observation was carried out on 15th November 2017, as part of the social audit pilot survey of the social audit program. The site observation was carried out by ACC officials and social audit trainees.
The purpose of the site observation was to collect information on the progress of the project as well as social and environmental safeguards followed by the project employer and contractor. A community survey was also conducted as part of the pilot survey in order to find out the extent of community participation in the planning of this project as well as community awareness on accountability and transparency of the project. This pilot survey is the first of its kind conducted by ACC.
