An awareness program has been conducted for public officials in Maradhoo, Maradhoo-Feydhoo and Feydhoo in Addu-City. The program was conducted on November 20, 2017 at the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Southern Regional Office in Hithadhoo, Addu-City.
The awareness program was part of the ‘Integrity Festival’ organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission, partly-funded by UNDP. The program was designed to provide information on the level of corruption in the Maldives, and the adverse effects of corruption on society. In addition, participants were given crucial information on the procurement procedure under the Finance Act and how to get ahead of, and resolve issues that arise during the various stages of procurement, without violating the Finance Act.
About 12 public officials from government offices and institutions in Maradhoo, Maradhoo-Feydhoo and Feydhoo participated in the program. The session was conducted by professional staff of ACC.
