An awareness program has been conducted for public officials in Hithadhoo in Addu-City. The program was conducted on November 20, 2017 at the Addu City Council Hall in Hithadhoo.
The awareness program was part of the ‘Integrity Festival’ organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), partly-funded by UNDP. The program was designed to provide information on the level of corruption in the Maldives, and the adverse effects of corruption on society. In addition, participants were given crucial information on the procurement procedure under the Finance Act and how to get ahead of, and resolve issues that arise during the various stages of procurement, without violating the Finance Act.
46 public officials from government offices and institutions in Hithadhoo participated in the program, which was conducted by professional staff of ACC.
