Closing of Integrity festival

Anti-Corruption Commission concludes the 7-day ‘Integrity Festival’ organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission in collaboration with UNDP.

The closing ceremony was held on Thursday 23rd November 2017, at the Addu City conference hall. The chief guest; Mayor of the Addu city Mr Abdulla Sodiq’ and president of Anti-Corruption Commission Hassan Luthufee addressed in the closing ceremony.

The second paper on the white paper series that focuses on selected thematic areas of corruption was released at this ceremony. The paper was officially launched by Seenu Atoll Judicial Sector’s Senior magistrate, Uz. Mohamed Hashim. This paper is based on the research paper presented by the Civil Service Commission at the National Anti-Corruption Conference 2017. It highlights on various obstacles faced in promoting integrity in the civil service, and some recommendations.

A token of appreciation was given by ACC to Addu City Council for their help in organizing all events at Addu. Furthermore, certificates were awarded to participants of different awareness sessions held in Addu and to those who contributed for the integrity evening held at Addu City.
