An event under the name ‘Integrity Evening’, specially designed to create integrity-awareness among young children was held in Hithadhoo, Addu City, on November 19, 2017.
In addition to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), MNDF, MPS, MRDC, Red Crescent, Dhiraagu, MIRA, Information Commissioner’s Office, and Addu Women’s Development Initiative participated in the event. An array of games and activities for the children were offered from the stalls, while providing information on integrity and the mandate of the respective institution. In addition, a short drama on integrity was presented, and the public was given the opportunity to sign the National Integrity Pledge.
The awareness program was part of the ‘Integrity Festival’ organized by ACC, partly-funded by UNDP. The event was designed to provide information and create awareness amongst children on the importance of integrity.
