Social Accountability awareness session held for public officials of Fuvahmulah

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has held an awareness session for public officials of Fuvahmulah. The session was conducted on 14th November 2017, as part of the activities of the Social Audit Program held in Fuvahmulah City.

The Social Audit program was aimed at creating awareness on the concept of social accountability and related concepts as well as social accountability tools, mainly focusing on facilitating how to conduct a social audit to ensure transparency and accountability of developmental projects.

Information about social accountability, social audit, good governance and right to information was shared in the session held at Kurun’dhuma Maalan of the secretariat of the Fuvahmulah City Council. A total of 23 public officials of Fuvahmulah City participated in this session which was led by ACC’s research officer Ms. Nasira Iqbal and Assistant Director Mr. Hassan Manik.
