With regards to the cases concluded by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the commission has forwarded 8 charges for prosecution during the fourth quarter of 2017.
ACC’s statistical data revealed that the total amount of cases forwarded for prosecution within 2017 amounted to 12. Amongst these cases, 2 cases were forwarded for prosecution within the fourth quarter of 2017. These 2 cases carried 8 charges on providing an undue advantage for a third party. It was observed that these charges were sent for prosecution against all male employees.
Moreover, the total monetary value claimed to be recovered by the state with regards to the cases forwarded for prosecution in the fourth quarter of 2017 amounted to 17,857,979.10 (Seventeen million, eight hundred fifty-seven thousand, nine hundred seventy-nine Rufiyaa ten Laari).
