The ACC has launched the Social Audit Research Report on 23rd April 2018 in a ceremony held at ACC to mark the National Anti-Corruption Day 2018. The report was released by Chief Guest of the ceremony, State Minister Dr. Abdulla Nazeer. A presentation was delivered focusing on the findings of the research.
The study was conducted from 13th to 15th November 2017 at Fuvahmulaku City. The Social Audit Research is the first of its kind in the Maldives under ACC’S Social Audit Program to lead the community. It was initiated in the aim to train and empower the island stakeholders through increasing transparency and accountability in the governance system. The research was focused on the Eco-Facility Development Project being executed in Fuvahmulah City by the Ministry of Environment. This research was conducted with financial support provided by the UNDP Maldives.
