The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is currently attending the Global Expert group meeting, hosted by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in Sri Lanka, and facilitated by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The meeting take place in Sri Lanka from July 25 – 27, 2018. Vice President of Anti-Corruption Commission Mr. Muaviz Rasheed attended the meeting on behalf of ACC.
The Global Expert group meeting constitutes a follow-up to the Jakarta Conference and aims to bring together experts and practitioners from across the world to deepen the understanding of the sixteen Jakarta Principles. This Expert group meeting will help to provide further guidance to Governments globally seeking to implement Articles 6 and 36 of the UNCAC.
