The Commission’s statistical data for the first two quarters of 2018 discloses that the 06 case forwarded to Prosecutor General’s Office carried a total of 09 different charges.
In the second quarter of 2018, only one case was forwarded to Prosecutor General’s Office carried a total of 2 different charges. They were on providing an undue advantage for a third party and personal gain. The cases sent for prosecution during the second quarter of 2018 were against 3 individuals which included 2 females and 1 male defendants.
It was also observed that, the total monetary value involved in the cases sent for prosecution by ACC during the first two quarters of 2018 amounted to 130,280,223.00 (Hundred and thirty million, two hundred and eighty thousand, two hundred and twenty-three) Rufiyaa. However, the amount claimed in these cases to be recovered by the state amounted to 108,749,100.00 (Hundred and eight million, seven hundred and forty-nine thousand, and one hundred) Rufiyaa.
