Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) has instructed the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure to comply with the policies when proceeding with the Hiyaa housing project.
After looking into issues of alleged unlawful practices in the proceedings, ACC has informed the Housing Ministry to proceed with the evaluation stage of the Hiyaa housing project as per the policies set for the project. The commission has also informed the Ministry to publish the details of the points awarded for the applicants and to allow a sufficient amount of time to file complaints regarding the matter.
ACC has also informed the Housing Ministry to issue a written response to the complainants and to publish the permanent list only after informing the complainants of the decisions made by the Ministry with regards to the complaints received. Also, ACC urged the Ministry to comply with the set policies during each of the stages and to proceed with the project in a transparent manner that leaves no room for corruption.
