The Anti-Corruption Commission has officially released Issue: 1 Volume: 3 of its White Paper series. This policy paper was released on 21st April 2019 at a ceremony to mark the National Anti-Corruption Day held at the Maldives Customs Service Hall. The White Paper was released by Commission Member, Mr. Yazmeed Mohamed.
The main aim of this policy series is to disclose corruption risks and provide recommendations on corruption prevention at public sector. The current Issue focuses on risks of corruption and its prevention in State Owned Enterprises (SOEs). In this regard, the paper highlights organizational structure of SOE’s, issues in the legal framework of SOE’s and risks of corporate fraud. It provides recommendations for overcoming such risks. The paper will also be circulated to relevant authorities.
