ACC’s statistical data revealed that within the first six months of 2019, the commission has registered a total of 546 cases. Amongst these cases, 259 cases were registered in the second quarter of 2019. During the same period in 2018, a total of 124 cases were registered respectively.

All the cases registered at the Commission are examined under an evaluation process to precede investigations. Based on the number of cases registered, 251 cases were decided to investigate in 2019 while it was 110 cases in 2018 respectively.

Subsequently, if any cases lodged do not fall under the mandate of the Commission, such cases are referred to the respective public institution that has the relevant mandate. Likewise, 18 cases were referred to other institutions in 2019 while 8 cases were referred in 2018.
