The Anti-Corruption Commission has participated in Inter Regional Workshop on The Use of Open Source Data in Criminal and Financial Investigations of Corruption Crimes in South and Southeast Asia within the collaborative efforts of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) “Asia-Pacific Joint Action Towards Global Regime Against Corruption” programme and the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI). Investigation Officer Mr. Ahmed Shaan Mohamed, Investigation Officer Ms. Mariyam Liusha and Assistant Investigation Officer Ms. Aminath Shafeeq has attended the Workshop on behalf of Anti-Corruption Commission.
The regional workshop takes place in Bangkok, Thailand from 18 to 20 September 2019, is aim to provide an insight, broaden the knowledge and specialized skill and offer tools to investigators on the definition, scope and applicability of open source data and intelligence in criminal and financial investigations of corruption crimes.
This workshop gathers representatives from relevant anti-corruption authorities, from 9 countries of South and Southeast Asia. All the expenses are fully covered by UNODC and ABA ROLI.
