The Commission’s statistical data for the first two quarters of 2019 discloses that the 02 case forwarded to Prosecutor General’s Office carried a total of 04 different charges.
In the second quarter of 2019, only one case was forwarded to Prosecutor General’s Office carried one charge on providing an undue advantage for a third party. Similarly, during the 2nd quarter of 2018, 01 case was sent for prosecution which carried total of 02 different charges against 03 individuals. The case sent for prosecution during the second quarter of 2019 was against 1 individual, a male defendant.
The statistics also indicates that, the total monetary value involved in the cases sent for prosecution by ACC during the first two quarters of 2019 amounted to 3,646,500.00 (Three million six hundred and forty-six thousand and five hundred) Rufiyaa.
