The Anti-Corruption Commission has released a research report on Asset Declaration System of Maldives on the 5th of September 2019 on a special ceremony to brief media by President Uz. Muaviz Rasheed.
The report explores the current system practiced in the Maldives on asset declaration and identifies means on which the system could be strengthened with reference to UNCAC and international best practices. The report suggests on how to improve the current system by providing recommendations, including enactment of a specific legal framework and amendments to the existing provisions.
