{"id":65,"date":"2015-08-10T16:39:43","date_gmt":"2015-08-10T16:39:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acc.gov.mv\/wp\/?page_id=65"},"modified":"2015-08-23T20:10:14","modified_gmt":"2015-08-23T20:10:14","slug":"mandate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/about\/mandate\/","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory Functions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #00000a;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #00000a;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ACC Act 13\/2008 mandates the following obligations for the Commission;<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">To inquire into and investigate all allegations of corruption; any complaints, information, or suspicion of corruption must be investigated; <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">To recommend further inquiries and investigations by other investigatory bodies, and to recommend prosecution of alleged offences to the Prosecutor General, where warranted;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">To carry out research on the prevention of corruption and to submit recommendations for improvement to relevant authorities regarding actions to be taken; <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">To promote the values of honesty and integrity in the operations of the State, and to promote public awareness of the dangers of corruption;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">To conduct seminars, workshops and other programs on prevention and prohibition of corruption to increase public awareness, carry out research and publish them;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">To carry out everything necessary to undertake the responsibilities of the Commission;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">To implement Act No.2\/2000 (Law on Prevention and Prohibition of Corruption) and to formulate regulations under that Act.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ACC Act 13\/2008 mandates the following obligations for the Commission; To inquire into and investigate all allegations of corruption; any complaints, information, or suspicion of corruption must be investigated; To recommend further inquiries and investigations by other investigatory bodies, and to recommend prosecution of alleged offences to the Prosecutor General, where warranted; To carry <a class=\"read-more\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/about\/mandate\/\"> [Read More&#8230;]<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":50,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-about.php","meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/65"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=65"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/65\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":261,"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/65\/revisions\/261"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/50"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/archive.acc.gov.mv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=65"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
