Muaviz Rasheed has played an important role in the development of the Anti-Corruption Commission. After completing his LLB, he began his professional career at the Anti-Corruption Board (ACB) in 2005 as a Legal Officer. He served at ACB as an Assistant Director General, Investigations during the Commission\u2019s transitional period and progressed to become a member of the Board.\nIn addition to his responsibilities as an investigator, Uz. Muaviz Rasheed devotes his skills and time in the training of people at several training programs, forums, discussions and seminars related to anti-corruption in various parts of the country. Besides, he has extensive experience in investigation of grave corruption cases at home and abroad.\nUz. Muaviz Rasheed was appointed as a member of the newly formed Anti-Corruption Commission on 9th September 2009 and was elected as the Vice President of the Commission. During his first five year term as a Commission member he has also participated in civil litigation of cases related to Anti-Corruption Commission.\nHe has participated various Anti\u2013Corruption related seminars, workshops and conferences held overseas and had gained tremendous knowledge and experiences in the area. Moreover, he had represented Maldives in many international conferences such as in the state party conferences of the UN Convention Against Corruption.\nAt the end of the first term of the Commission, Uz. Muaviz Rasheed was re-appointed for a second term on 8th September 2014.
